“Hello there! My name is Georgia Cambridge and I am very excited to have joined Value Hearing as an Audiologist.
After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2010, I moved to Townsville where I spent several years working as an Audiologist, specialising in hearing aid technology. This position allowed me to extensively travel and work throughout Northern and Central Queensland and consequently meet a variety of wonderful and colourful people.
Following this, I spent 12 months travelling overseas and working in Dundee, Scotland. Mixing hearing loss and an Australian accent was difficult for my clients and their strong Dundonian accent was difficult for me but we always got there in the end!
Most recently, I have been involved in a not for profit organisation specialising in children who are born with hearing loss and proceed to cochlear implantation.
My experiences within audiology are varied and have allowed me to develop effective communication skills and truly understand the necessity of a holistic approach in helping people with hearing loss.
Outside of audiology, I enjoy cooking, being outdoors and at the beach, and live music. Growing up at a tennis centre also means sport has played a big role in my life thus far. I look forward to meeting you all soon and helping you with your hearing needs.”
